Internship Opportunity: Product Development Intern
Location: Bangalore, India (in-office, 3-5 days/week). We are open to considering remote candidates for this position.

Reporting to: Chief of Staff
Start date: ASAP. We are hiring on a rolling basis.
Duration: 3 months paid internship.

Job Description
We're looking for a curious, hands-on Product Development Intern to support Asan's growing product pipeline over 3 months. You'll work closely with our founding and operations team on everything from materials research and supplier coordination to testing and packaging. During this internship, you will get real exposure to what it takes to bring a consumer health product to market.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and excited about the intersection of product design, manufacturing, and social impact. If you love digging into the details and want to see how products go from concept to shelf, we'd love to hear from you.
What we need from you
Research and Sourcing
- Research materials, ingredients, components, and suppliers for new products.
- Compile and compare supplier quotes, lead times, and certifications to support sourcing decisions.
Product Testing and Quality
- Coordinate sample requests and track feedback through testing rounds.
- Maintain organised records of product specifications, test results, and version histories.
Packaging and Compliance
- Support the development of packaging briefs and artwork coordination with designers and printers.
- Help ensure product labelling meets regulatory requirements across relevant markets (India, UK, EU).
Cross-functional Support
- Work with the operations and marketing teams to align on timelines, costs, and launch readiness.
- Assist with any ad hoc product development tasks as needed.
Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Product Design, Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.
Detail-oriented: you take pride in keeping things accurate, organised, and well-documented.
Curious and proactive: you ask good questions, take initiative, and don't wait to be told what to do.
Good communicator: comfortable reaching out to suppliers, coordinating across teams, and summarising findings clearly.
Tech-savvy: proficient in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with product design tools (CAD) is a plus.
Most importantly, you care deeply about Asan's mission and want to help build high quality, sustainable period care.
